I want to become a pediatrician and I was wondering what would be the best colleges to go to and how much do you make a year?

  1. As an undergrad, I don't think the school you go to will matter much. YOu will be taking lots of science courses, and the med schools will be looking at the grades more than where they are coming from. You will probably want to major in something like Chemistry or Biology. You will need really good grades to have any chance. If you get in after getting your bachelors degree (hopefully only 4 years), you will have 4 years  of med school and a few more years of residency.

How much money you make will depend on the area. Look here for salary information in your area. http://data.bls.gov/oes/search.jsp?data_... Keep in mind that med school is very expensive and you will most likely be drowing in loans from them. Doctors seem to make a lot, but they may not be living off of much because of the loans. One of my moms oncologists was wearing socks with holes in them because he was still paying off loans.

You should try and get a job in health care, which will most likely require a short training course for even the low-level jobs. CNA courses are usually 75 hours long. They teach you to wash old people, dirty work but satisfying and a good way to get your feet wet and make a few bucks.
