I have a few questions about the Chesapeake bat bridge?

ok so the frist one is were in the world did the name come from? what was it made of? and why was it made?

please help me at lest you know one of these answers! please oh please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. it crosses the chesapeake bay in maryland. steel frame on concrete piers carries all vehicle traffic on highways 301 and 50 in all directions. a major traffic system. two bridges, one westbound ,3 lanes, one eastbound 2 lanes. both span a shipping channel into the baltimore harbor.


  2. The Chesapeake Bay bridge crosses the Chesapeake Bay.  Both spans are steel with concrete surfaces.

  3. I think you mean the Chesapeake BAY Bridge.  Now if you are referring to the word Chesapeake, it is an Indian word that is be lived to mean "great shellfish bay"

    The bridge issue causes some confusion because there is the Ches. Bay Bridge that spans the bay from Kent Narrows to Sandy point near Annapolis and then there is the Ches. Bay Bridge and Tunnel which runs from Norfolk to Cape Charles Va.
