- How does one take a shower in a trailer? Where does the water come from?

- Do you have to 'park' your mobile home around a specific area where other trailer homes are? Or can you just park it on a major city's street corner and live there?

  1. you get connected to water, sewage, electricity when you park it, or you may have a generator

shower works like anywhere else, but it's often tinier

campgrounds and some large gas stations/plazas have connections

many communities have zoning ordinances controlling whether and where you can park a mobile home

some mobile homes aren't intended to be moved, and others are campers intended for constant relocation

  2. It depends on the type of trailer you have.  Some have water tanks and sewer holding tanks.  These types have to be filled and emptied.  Others do not have tanks and with these you must hook up to a water and sewer line.

Yes there are specific areas where a Mobil home can park and hook up not only to water and sewer but eclectic.   It is my understanding that Walmart allows overnight parking but besides that you can not just park anywhere.

  3. .   The water line connects to a adapter in the side of the trailer and you get city water. When you leave, don't drive off without detaching the water line.  All "parks" have them.

You can park legally in areas designated by the city.  Sometimes in parks, sometimes in rural areas.  Or you can cheat and park in the WalMart parking lot until you are asked to move.

  4. All of those I have been in had showers.

Water comes from the city or a well, whatever was arranged.

If you talking about a travel trailer, for vacationing, they can both hook up to water and carry a storage tank of water.

  5. It sounds like you are asking about TRAVEL trailers and not mobile homes.  What most people call mobile homes is actually a misnomer as they are not truly mobile and usually make just the trip to either a manufactured home community or other similar location are stay there for their entire useful life.
