I have a fidek av amp with on anlog inputs with aux,vcr,dvd.ac3,turner ect how do i hook up xbox 360?

  1. There are several ways to accomplish this. They depend on the way you have your system hooked up as a whole, and what cables/connections you have available.

    Here is my recommendation (w/o knowing what you have):

    First hook the amp's "video out" to the TV -

    Use a "video out" from the amp (RCA <yellow>, s-video, or component) to the "video in" on the TV (of same type).

    Now hook the Xbox to the amps "aux" or "dvd" "in" connection. Hook up all three cables (yellow, red, white).

    Turn on the Xbox, amp, and TV.

    Set the TV to the input you selected (video 1, 2, etc..)

    When you play a game, the video goes to the amp and then to the TV. THe sound only goes to the amp, and out your speakers.

    As long as you have an amp capable of decoding dolby (and 5.1 speakers), you will get surround sound.
