  1. Just so you know this is going to cost a few thousand dollars. You'd have to switch out the tranny and connect the clutch. Transmissions tend to be expensive and there is also a lot of labor work.

  2. OK. So the clutch pedal isn't a problem. An auto connects to the rear of the engine through a flex plate. But a standard is connected through a clutch and pressure plate with a pilot bearing, in the rear of the engine's crankshaft, to support the nose of the transmission front shaft and a throwout bearing to allow the clutch to be engaged and disengaged. You'll also need a standard bell housing which is made  for that engine, a clutch assembly, pilot & throw out bearings, transmission and some type of clutch linkage. Since you have a non standard engine you'll probably be best off using some type of hydraulic clutch. The Bell housing, pressure plate, clutch assembly, pilot & throwout bearings and transmission all will have to be Datsun units which are compatible with the engine. Since you're putting in a unit that the car wasn't originally designed for there's bound to be a lot of fabrication required to make it all fit and mount properly. It's like putting a Caddy engine and transmission in a FORD. It can be done with enough work, money, expertise and the right tools.
