I have a fish tank and I was just wondering what do you guys use to clean the aquarium glass. I used windex?

but I din't like the result. Do you guys use any special product to clean the glass in your aquarium. If so whats the name of the product and where do you get it?

IN  your aquarium ?  never use windex

Even on the glass on the outside, don't use windex because the spray tends to spread and could get into the water.

Just use plain water and a cotton or linen cloth or paper towels.  You could also dip a cloth in a bowl of water and vinegar, and use that moistened cloth to clean the outside of the tank.  That way, there is no overspray, and its nothing to cause any harm.

IF you had emptied the tank and are cleaning it, use kitchen salt and a bit of water, scrub with a cloth, and rinse thoroughly.

I use the megenate thingie...I dont use windex...I don't think is good for the fish.

I just use a green sruber manufactured by 3m Scoth brite it work just fine.

nonono u cant use windex, it has chemicals that are deadly to fish, even soapy water has to many chemicals,

but the best product and the safest is by far a little elbow grease and some really light soapy water on the outside and regular water on the inside

You are talking about cleaning the outside of the tank, right?

Just use plain old white vinegar and water.  Or you can buy special aquarium glass cleaner from a pet store.

Drs. Foster & Smith make a product called Glass Aquarium Cleaner, and also wipes.
