Its easy to wipe clean but for things that have boiled over and gotten cooked on I use the scrubbing part of the sponge with Ajax and it will not budge. Any thoughts?

  1. where you bought the stove or where they sell them they also have some stuff in a bottle its kinda like a cream that is glass cooktop surface cleaner. i used to use that and my stove came with a scraper like a glass scraper. you pour that cleaner on there let is set for just a second then scrap with that scraper very lightly. will clean it right up. if you bought the stove it should have come with this stuff but if it was already there you really need to go out and get it. just ask a sales clerk for these items at a store that you can purchase these kind of stoves.

  2. Any type of cleaner that combats grease works well (Greased Lightning).  Spray it on and let it soak for a while until it loosens up.  I also like to use 'Perfect Kitchen'  cleaner.  I have always had a problem with most cleaners leaving behind steaks on the stove and this product doesn't leave behind streaks.  I decided to try it after using 'Perfect Glass'.  That product cleans windows very well without leaving behind streaks.

  3. use a single edge razor blade to gently scrape the cooked on stuff.

Try not to use a burner until you have cleaned it.  Always wait for it to cool off.  I had a black cook top that "people"  --okay, my husband--

couldn't see needed cleaning before using again.  Really made it hard

to clean; we had a couple of spots that wouldn't budge!  New range has

a white glass cook top, and you can see every speck!  We are both much better about cleaning it with the little red square it came with and  stove top cleaner.  I wet a paper towel with hot water, and leave

it on stubborn spots to loosen them.  Then come back in about 15-20 minutes and try the red square.  Then do the razor blade trick, if I can't get it to budge.

    Good luck

  4. No worries.  Use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It'll get the gunk off without harming your cooktop.

  5. You can get cook-top cleaner ar Bed Bath and Beyond in the pots and pans section. You can also get a scraper there (look in the bins) that will work for the black gunk.

If you do not want to invest in the cleaner and want an at home method do what I do and use toothpaste. I'm not sure where I read or heard about using toothpaste but it works pretty well. Just squeeze some on the cook top, mix with just a bit of water and smear it over the surface. Wait a few minutes and then wipe clean.

  6. Try dusting it with baking soda then spaying it with pure white vinegar. Once it settles and stops to fizz, gently scrub it with crumpled aluminum foil, with the shiny side showing.

I sound crazy but I swear, this works!
