I was raised in a military family, so I grew upI watching my mom cut my dads hair in a 'high and tight' and also my brothers'.  She did it about once every 2 weeks or so.  I like the buzzed look, the 'high and tight'; as opposed to the flat top, because I've always gone after those military boys.  :P Just make sure you don't get all shaggy, then you'll look like you don't care about how you present yourself.
