  1. Do you mean that you see a light flicker??   Do you have any spots floating around in your vision??  If so, you may need to be seen.  These things together could be a sign of a posterior vitreous detachment or possibly the beginings of a retinal detachment.

  2. get more sleep.  sometimes that happens to me, and when it does, I analize if I've been getting enough sleep.  100% of the time when I analize when I'm having an eyelid twitch, I'm on very little sleep.

  3. If the flicker is a flicker of light, you certainly should be seen.  If the retina is being agitated in some way, i.e., a hole or a tear, your vision could be permanently affected.  Time is of the essence in repairing these problems so don't wait.

Another possibility is what is known as an ocular migraine.  These cause flickering lights or lights with jagged edges, sometimes in a circular shape.  These generally last a few minutes to an hour and aren't flashes (like a camera flash or lightening bolt) like those associated with the retina.  These are generally harmless, just annoying.

In either case, it's a good idea to get it evaluated soonest.  You only get one set of eyes.

  4. It's probably a muscle twitch. They are caused by stress and lack of sleep. Nothing to worry about, in fact mine is twitching right now and yes I am stressed at the moment.
