I have a flight on the 8/11?

Hello! So, anyway, like I said, I have a flight on 8/11, and I'm worried, because, in my purse, I have this plam-sized square of calcite. It looks something like this: http://webmineral.com/specimens/Calcite.jpg

I'm scared to take it, because they might take it away, and it's special to me...should I put it in my luggage that goes under the plane instead of trying to carry it on? Oh, and I also have a comforter, that has Pandas on it. It's pretty big. Will they let me carry it on?

I recommend you pack it (carefully) in your checked baggage.  You might also include a description of what it is, in case your bag is inspected.  

Your comforter has to be able to fit under your seat or in the overhead compartment.  They're not too keen on people bringing big bulky items on board.  Might I suggest a lighter weight blanket?

Hii since the calcite is sharp I suggest putting it on your luggage that will go under the plane. Also wrap it up in tissue paper that way it wont brake because you dont want something special to be harmed. Also I am not sure if they will let you carry the comforter on becaus ethey are big so maybe just bring a blanket instead.
