I have a for real simple question that i forgot to ask my dad,he was a tractor trailer driver for yrs?

but i don't want to call him for he's asleep.Anyway i'm gonna walk in his foot steps and go coast to coast doing what he did,what is double clutching? Any other things i should know before doing this are all welcome,thank you all , bye.

  2. Double clutching is pushing in the clutch to remove the stick from gear, then releasing. Then you push in again putting it into the next gear. But there is no need in most trucks on the road today. They are all equipped with syncronized trnsmissions. Floating the gears or no clutch shifting is the ideal way to shift...as long as you dont grind away at the gears.
