How do I keep this from happening with my four month old. I have tried to get people to watch her, but if she is not at her house she cries the whole time I am gone, then when I come back I feel bad.

  1. Try going places with her first, places like a kid's gym or something, where she can interact with other people AND you.  Don't feel bad, every kid goes through separation anxiety.  The way to prevent it with the baby is to leave her with people you trust.  Let the kids interact with other kids/people while you're gone.  This will help he/she to be more independent.

  2. Your 4 yr. old will out grow it and most likely, you will be running to catch up with the 4 month old.  When you finally catch her, screaming and wiggling, you'll mutter "your sister was never like this".  JK.

I do know how you feel.  This will pass before you know it.  I remember, that I couldn't even go to the restroom without my oldest daughter at the door crying.

PS.. She is now 22, just married and the newest 7th grade language arts teacher at the local middle school.  She also graduated Sum *** Laud.

All of you will survive.  I promise!
