Question:

I have a freaking headache?

I took a pill an hour ago and it seems to be subsiding for the moment but i still feel some of the effects. I think it may be because im not getting enough protein, i have had two beef sandwiches and thats it? As of now we are slightly poor and my daily food consumption is some beef top ramen, lemonade, and whatever else is in the fridge(which is not a lot) Yesterday a had some ramen and mashed potatoes and a brownie. thats about it? what cheap foods or even vitamins would you recomend i could eat for the protien?

BTW i put this in the veggie section cause im sure you guys have some tips for life without protien.

  1. minor dehydration can cause some pretty bad headaches.  beans, rice,  torts, salsa.  the combo of any beans & grains will give your body the complete protien building block it requires - and what's cheaper than beans rice & torts.  have you ever tried tofu - good source of protien & you can fry it and make a burger - put BBQ sauce on and it will be great!  steamed veggies are good for your bod & inexpensive.  and if you are that broke- how about local food bank-no offence intended-i even went last month.  PBJ is always a good balanced food-seriously.  well hope this helps some -i wish you well  :)


  2. I think you need to drink more , get fresh air and eat healthier!!

    Peanut butter is rich in protein and is cheap.

    Turkey is cheap and high in protein.

    Baked beans and canned pulses are cheap and high protein.

    My son says that the Greeks sniffed crushed mint leaves to relieve headaches....worth a try if you've got some mint handy!

  4. EAT YOUR VEGGIES. YOU DON'T NEED TO BE RICH TO EAT NATURAL FOOD... IF YOU'RE TOO POOR TO BUY SUPERFOODS, THEN GO OUTSIDE WITH A SCISSOR AND PICK THEM FROM YOUR GARDEN

    A HEALTHY PERSON WILL EAT LEAFY SALADS DAILY. AT LEAST TWICE A DAY.

  5. Dear Hungry One with a Headache,

    No one deserves a severe headache which is caused by your low protein and simple carbs.  With the kind of foods you've been eating all of it is just turning to sugar very fast in your body.

    This could cause extreme fatigue and frequent headaches.

    There are many ways to help yourself , first count up all of your friends that live in different houses and start making drop-by visits at supper time, second in this great country of ours you may be eligible for food stamps.  If this would be the case you could shop for the new frozen dinners that are lo-cal delicious meals.  Just heat and eat. Then when you are feeling stronger and might have a little more money you could also try a bottle of multi vitamins and a bottle of aspirins.

  6. Beans. Beans are full of protein and ridiculously cheap. Especially if you buy them dry and dont mind soaking them and cooking them in a crock pot for a few hours. They also keep dry for a very long time.

    The headache may not be just because of a lack of protein but to be a frank, a generally c**p diet.

    Also invest in frozen veggies too, they are also cheap and nutrient rich. And rice.

    Also drink plenty of water. Lack of water makes you dehydrated, and headaches are symptomatic of that.
