  1. no more then 4 per day then yes

  2. hhahaahahahah how old are you guys??!

id be very worried about someone who did get drunk on 2 mixed drinks! wow!

    are you joking??

  3. no

  4. No.  He obviously just likes the way it tastes.  (I know I do).  And as long as it's not something he couldn't do without for a night I don't see a problem.  Also as long as it's not affecting his work or his social life, no problem.

  5. nah. i have a drink (or drinks) pretty much every night myself. i'm no where near an alcoholic.. i do it more for the social aspect. me and the roomie kicking back, drinking a cocktail, and watching grey's anatomy.

your friend is fine. don't you worry.

  6. no not at all everyone has a differant tollerance to alcohol depents on weight also

  7. If your friend drinks every night he is an alcoholic...it doesn't so much matter how much, but how often...and the how much will get more and more as time goes on....try to intervene and see if he sees a problem with this drinking...if he doesn't, then there is a long way to go to get him clean.

  8. I don't get drunk from that either. I drank 8 beers 4 whiskey and the rest I don't remember last weekend. Does that make me an alcoholic?

  9. Probably not.

If he can live without the drinks, then no. He just likes the taste and the buzz.

And since you say he doesn't get drunk, then my guess is he regulates his alcohol intake. That means he can control himself, which is not typical of an alcoholic.

Alcoholics cannot function without a drink. They pretty much feel the need to always have a drink, at least have one ready.

Your friend just likes the drink.

  10. There are a lot of factors to consider, but at one or two per night, probably not.  It would depend on why he is drinking mostly, but 1 or 2 is hardly going to make him feel a buzz, so he's probably not trying to suppress depressive feelings or something like that.  As someone else said, alcoholics feel the need have booze before they can function.  My guess is that if your friend ran out of Jim Beam and the liquor store was closed it wouldn't be a problem, whereas an alcoholic would freak out and go drink a bottle of Listerine.
