I have a fresh 351w 40 block. i also have victor jr heads. what do i need to do for about 600 hp.?

Option 1: Good forged pistons and rods, a nice cam, then about a 250 shot of nitrous.

Option 2: Good forged pistons and rods and a built motor, and then a turbo or twin turbo kit at about 15-18psi.

Option 3: Good forged pistons and rods and a built motor, and then a supercharger kit with about 18-20psi

Go with Chevy and be a p***y, or build your Ford with a big Roller cam and supercharger. Stay away from the r****d nitrous (cheaters use it) and go old school straight carb. About a .600 lift with a side mount paxton, 850 HP holley, and a strong bottom end will do it. Too bad so many are going nitrous just because they dont have the knowledge to build a naturally aspirated motor. Oh well, the few of us left will still spank the imports and nitrous boys. Go for it man!

Stroker kit and bigger bore will bring you closer to that number.  But remember it isn't all about the horsepower, gearing plays much more of a role.  Just think if a GT40 or a 64 Thunderbolt had an overdrive?
