I have a friend that I think has a eating disorder. Wat do I do!?!?

My friend is 14 and might have a eating disorder. I found out three days ago. I never really watched wat she ate or how little she ate until she started getting light head and really bad stomach ache. I tried to tell she need help but she wont listen to me. She wont tell our other friends because she afraid they are going to take my side. Please help!!!

  1. Eating disorders are psychological defense mechanisms.  Victims of this disorder therefore become angry at any attempt to destroy their defenses.  They will put up a big fight and become hateful if you attack what they see as a comfort.  Even so, if you love your friend you will have to pressure her constantly to eat and to seek help.  Moreover, you have to persuade everyone she knows to pressure her into getting psychotherapy.

    A caution:  You must never, ever display sympathy for her.  That will only make it worse.  


  2. People going through eating disorder suffer a denial stage which they think they don't have problem, just continue to convince her to get some help eventually she will listen you till' she realize that she needs one.
