I have a friend that came to US with his A1 diplomatic visa.?

Can his A1 Visa status be changed to working Visa if a US company is sponsoring him?

It's possible, if very unusual. That person would no longer have any diplomatic status, and would be subject to US law and taxes, of course. And, he would need a regular passport, not just a diplomatic one. But as long as the company did their paperwork and got approval from USCIS, it shoud be possible.
