  1. 14 sounds pretty young.  Most states don't allow you to work until you're 15 or 15 and a half.  If CO allows 14 year old's to work, a job at a retail clothing store or a fast food restaurant would be good choices.

  2. How about deliver newspapers for the Rocky Mountain

    News? or Denver Post?

  3. She prolly needs a work permit , but even for that I think you need to be at leased 15.

    Good luck

  4. Check out Elitch's for a summer job, or the forestry service. Both do summer hires and with a permit, she can work for either (she'll need a permit). Also check with your school, sometimes they have job boards for the kids, and sometimes the school can hire students to do work around the facilities over the summer (typically moving classrooms, though, so your friend might not be into that).

  5. First , find out what the laws are in your state. If 14 year olds can work, a fast food place or grocery store is probably her best bet.

  6. I live in denver colorado too!

My best friend is 16 and the law here is you have to be 16 to work. Thats what they sed @ the colorado mills. but you could ask around. it could be different. i know that if you sign up with this youth group u have to be 14, in the summer only. and they pay you like 250 every 2 weeks, my cuzin works there.

  7. Many moons ago I worked at 14 after getting a work permit signed.  I don't know if that has changed; it would be worth a look.  Now finding places that will hire a 14 year old might prove difficult.  I like the newspaper idea, but how is she at waking up every day @ 4:00 am to fold and deliver them?  Elitches, Lakeside, or bussing tables at a restaurant are other options; (I wouldn't recommend the last one).

    Have a great summer
