I have a friend that needs some advice, can you answer this question for them?

"I met someone online and was geared up on moving to them...looked on their myspace found out they have another girlfriend, what do I do? Confront or leave, or still go or is the joke on me?"

move on. I usually look at how a potential boyfriend treats there current or past girlfriend because if they cheat on them they will cheat on me.  same way with abusive ones. if they hit there ex they will hit me as well.

don't expect old habits dont change.

I would say speak to the person IN PERSON (on the phone, perhaps) about it before deciding. The other 'girlfriend' could be someone who is playing silly games, or there could be some lying going on.

The thing is, sometimes (NOT always) there is a genuine explanation for something that looks bad, and if your friend was drawn to the person and thinks they might be able to make a relationship work, why not at least give them the chance to have their say?

However, your friend would be ill advised to be travelling to meet someone until the issue was sorted out ~ that could lead to a very nasty situation on arrival.

And your friend should ensure if she does travel, she has her own fully paid ticket home, plus cab fare. Just in case.
