ive tried just about everyone from the department of imigration to the red cross and they have been no help to me what so ever, is there any other organisation that may be able to help me, as my friend is not a citizen of this country, and she is a human being for godsake she has done nothing wrong and deserves a better life

  1. Von Wolverine:  There is simply too little information to be able to direct you to the proper place.  In which camp is your friend staying?  How did your friend get there? Where is the camp located?  What organization oversees the day-to-day running of the camp?  What organization provides security over the camp?  What is the primary relief agency at the camp?  What reasons have you been given as to why your efforts have so far been refused?  And most importantly, why the moral outrage over one person, when there are undoubtedly many, many more people in the same camp living under the same circumstances?

  2. Most camps will not accept anything like this because the import duties on the items are too high and it's a cause of great friction when one person or family gets something and the others don't.

I used to sponsor a child in Sri Lanka through Save The Children and went through the same thing you are going through.
