he don t have HIV he told me that i will have to give him money and my house. i need an advise i will go to jail just for say that he got HIV i want to know if that is a crime say something bad about somebody

Damages arising from what you said could be a valid ground for an action since his personality was blemished.

Called Defamation of Character and he can sue you. Due to reading this and your other question, I doubt this is a true question or that you make $60,000 a year. OR that you are even old enough to be in YA.

And sue you for what?  He would need to prove that he suffered because you said he was HIV.  I call people worse stuff, even in public and have never been sued.

Defamation of character has to show damages.  Slander and DoC can only be used against you if u knowingly lied to your family and there were damages involved. Reputation lost with your family is not a damage, you believed it to be true so he cannot win the case because there was no intent to cause him damages.

You cannot go to jail over civil matters anyway. You have nothing to worry about.   he is trying to blackmail you , wanting money and your house when he has no right to it. There is was no crime committed.

(even if he were to win a civil case he would not be award your house because neither you or your family does not own it.... the mortgage company does[assuming they are still making house payments], so at the worst a lien would be placed on it)

Tell him he has no case and no longer talk to him.
