What is the most efficient way of doing that. So that I can tell my friend. The one that I mentioned before, who really does exist.

  1. Just wait for it.  A long time.

  2. Why does your friend want to destroy the star that without it we would die immediately? Besides it is almost impossible to destroy the sun yourself because you would have to travel to the center and remove all of its hydrogen and helium. The Sun will die itself in 4 billion years. Sorry if that it is too long for him or her to wait.

  3. Introduce disappearing polymorphs into the chromosphere.  This will have the effect of terminating all elemental reaction in favor of it's own reaction which would be that of replicating itself (the polymorph).  Soon the solar system would be a solid mass of the afore mentioned polymorph and potentially the galaxy and as a long shot the whole universe.

  4. build a bomb filled with fertilizer-I mean a TON of it. (like 5,000 tons) and launch it towards the moon and because of the earth rotation it'll go to the sun. The fertilizer will heat up and explode causing the sun to explode too.

  5. That's likely to make him extremely unpopular with the rest of the world, but I have a feeling that that ship has sailed already. You can inform your friend that it is not within any human's power to destroy even our tiny little planet, let alone the sun.

  6. i do not think that anyone would be able to do that cause the sun is so hot and if he did would you want it cold every year and not be able to go swimming wouldn't that suck

  7. deliver a whole heck of a lot of a super heavy element to the core of the sun... it will speed up the decay rate of the fusion... your still looking at about a billion years give or take a few hundred million

  8. Two ways--

    1. Drag a neutron star from the "nearby" stars (HA!)--- and smash it into the sun at relativistic speed.

    2. OR-- drag a large (say about 3000 solar mass) black hole within 1/4 light year of the sun --- and allow it to suck the sun's plasma away.

I have Captain Picarrd's sub-space phone number if you need some help doing this.
