I have a friend whose has the following prescription. Can someone tell me how bad her eyesight really is?

really really bad. Without correction, she can't make out the E on the top of the eye chart. She probably can't even read the big E on the small chart held 18 inches from her face.  Her astigmatism is really bad too, which distorts the images she sees even more.

Consider quite bad. with the myopia of more than -600 degree is consider high and that asti of more than -300 is also consider to be bad. Lasik will e the best solution for that

She's basically legally blind without corrective lenses. I'd be surprised if she can tell colors apart with eyesight like that.

according to my optician your friend is moderatly nearsighted

prescriptions  of - 8D and beyond is considered high myopia

Moderate myopia and astigmatism.

She is not "legally blind without glasses". It is not possible to be legally blind without glasses as the definition of legally blind includes "while wearing glasses".
