please dont ride them just let them live out there life. they are to old.

It usually depends on the strength of the horses, and how much you two weigh, but how old they are, it would probably be safe just to let them go.

If they are sound and in good health, a gentle, short ride on a regular basis is GOOD for them.  I roped off my quarter horse until he reached 28 years of age, and trail rode him until he was 34.  He retired to easy weekly ambles through the field until he passed away at 36.
