  1. You need to take your CBT, then you can ride with 'L' plates, and you need to take your test within two years of that otherwise the CBT expires. Apply befor the end of July otherwise you'll find it a lot more difficult .. they're closing most of the test centres for motorbikes in the UK later this year. (the government are anti-biker so they want to make life as difficult for us as possible ... remember this at the next election, if Brown ever lets us have another one.)

  2. you will need a CBT before you are allowed  to ride it. courses can be found almost everywhere locally.

a car license  used !! to act as a provisional  license for motorcycles but it may have changed.  looking at the codes  printed on it will tell you( you  can check these out with the  DVLC or on line etc)

  3. some L plates

  4. A motorcycle endorsement. It will say "M" on the license.

Register for an MSF course at your local community college. Its the easiest way to get one.

  5. A motorbike license.

  6. First you need to get a CBT - Certificate of Basic Training - which proves you won;t go & kill yourself straight off.

That entitles you to use L plates for UP TO 2 years.

You can take lessons and take your test in various ways after that - but the CBT is the starting point.

  7. You need an actual motorcycle license. Don't worry the test is easy. Good luck!

  8. If it is not covered by your car license then you will need a bike license.

  9. a motorbike license

  10. you can ride it but you still have to do cbt test
