  1. Your water line in the well may have what's called a foot valve on the end of the line down in the well. This foot valve is supposed to close when the pump shuts off, if not then the pressure is lost and the pump kicks back on. So this is one thing to check.

The other thing is your bladder tank may need replaced. This is usually a blue tank that has an air bladder in it. This bladder has air behind it and as the pressure from the water pushes against this air bladder it puts additional pressure on the water. If this bladder is busted then all the pressure you have is from the pump. There is an air valve on top of the bladder tank, you can try adding some air pressure to the tank. Shut off pump, open outside water hydrant, take valve cap off bladder tank, use a compressor or hand air pump and pump in some air in the tank, this will displace water below the rubber bladder and give you some extra time before the pump kicks on. Turn hydrant off, turn pump circuit back on - see if this helps.

  2. high and low pressure cut out /cut in switches, air in the tank, bleeding air ....these are are set and forget settings ... I've been down this road a couple of times in 25 years..A couple of things should be considered... 1'st, how old is the tank and pump? 10 yrs is respectable service life depending on your water quality..In the holding tank is an air bladder that will eventually fail, then all kinds of strange things happen (loss of water pressure, pump constantly running etc..) or it could be as simple as having a corroded  or clogged foot valve ( check valve) in the well itself.....The bottom line is..you can mess with the settings on the pump/motor and add air or bleed air from the tank,, but something caused your system to fail .. If your not sure of your plumbing skills and have the proper tools (BIG WRENCHES) let a pro do the work. Have a GOULD pump/motor installed along witha Weltrol tank and you'll be a happy camper.. I had a plumber do this for me the 1'st  time,  I watched the tricks, and 12 years later  iI did the job...

  3. there is a "high" and  "low" pressure-cut-off setting on your well pump, yours needs adjusting.

  4. You might try a larger pump or larger holding tank or adjusting your low preasure cut in switch.Air should be blead at the holding tank
