I have a fun mystery for you. Why am I hearing music from my television?

I have an old RCA television, model XL100 sans a/v jacks or ports so I bought a Phillips RF Modulator to hook my ancient Emerson vcr and my ever faithful Slyvania dvd player to. Oh, I also have a RCA ant. . (My grandmother had recently passed and she had some holdover relics that I took possession of.) My problem is I now get a soft rock radio station coming through my television and I don't know why. I do not have satellite or cable and the music only plays when I turn on the vcr to watch the dvd as I have rigged everything to work through the vcr. Meaning I change my channels and watch the dvd or vcr through the vcr. I hope I have given enough pertinent information to help solve the mystery of the radio station from my television. Please, how do I make it stop?

  1. Well, I am not the electronics geek you were hoping would answer this, but it seems pretty clear to me that you are getting interference from an FM radio station through your RF Modulator. Maybe you can get an RF modulator/switch This allows you to select your input.
