I have a gas stove with pilot lights I.....?

I Am thinking of buying a gas stove with Electric start. I know i need to get someone to come and unhook and hook up the gas stove. But do i need to get an Electriction also??

If your gas stove currently doesn't have electric service, you will need an electrician to provide electrical service to the stove.  Unhooking and hooking up a gas stove is super easy, this I would do myself - just be sure the gas is off and you've bled the line to the appliance.

My suggestion would be to have the place you are buying the appliance from deliver and install your appliance.  Talk to the ahead of time about the wiring issue, you may have to get an electrician in there first.  They charge a fee but they are pros and do it all the time.  It's easy to damage your flooring moving appliances, so I'd let the guys who know what they're doing move things around.

I did not have to. Look under the cabinet of your stove and see of there is already an electrical outlet there. Most homes have them. If so, then you just plug it in. If not, then you may need someone to run an outlet to it.

Your probably all set. Where you bought it will install the new one. Almost all houses have outlet behind the stove.Electric start is O K for top burners cause they will work without power. But the oven will not. Why I say this I use to live in the Fla. Keys and power was always going out.So I had a hard time finding a stove that did not have electric ignition for the oven.Power alway went out on holidays. You know turkey in the oven and no power would be a disaster.
