I have a gerbil is it ok for him to eat hamster food [my sister wanted to know]?

i got a gerbil yesterday and i was wondering is it ok for him to eat hamster food even though he is a gerbil [my sis wanted to know not me] also him name is oreo that is my fave food and he is black and white

the food is right be you do now that gerbils have to be keep in pairs other wise they will not live as long as they should and they will have unhappy lives on there own, you should get the gerbil a same s*x brother or sister from his litter, with in two days of getting him,

If it is over that than look at the split cage (google it), but make sure it a the same s*x!
