  1. no must use double wall

  2. 80%s are OK with single ducts. Only the 90% stuff need the special ductwork. That furnace will have a 3" or 4" duct and you can use a adapter to couple it to the existing chimney ductwork. Once it is done make sure to secure all the ductwork with sheet metal screws and at least test for a good draft. Be very careful if you run your own gas line. Do not run a flexible gas line from the gas pipe dirt leg of the black iron pipe through the housing of the furnace to the regulator. Use hard pipe instead. Make sure you have a modern shutoff valve for the gas line. It is also a great idea to put a smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector close to the furnace. You will also need a separate electric line to the furnace on its' own fuse or breaker. If you are worried some gas companies and cities will inspect this stuff maybe for a charge but it is better to be poorer than dead. Many fire departments will also check. They can at least advise you where to put the smoke alarm. Again make sure it is a smoke/CO alarm. You would be best to change all your alarms to this type.Good luck!

  3. All exhaust duct  must be double wall , otherwise it is a fire hazard..  I think you mean an 80,000 btu unit.   Good luck and God Bless.
