I've scraped it out several times but that doesn't seem to get it clean enough, I've heard if you put a pot of boiling water on the stove and put it in there that all the resin will come off of it and be good as new, but I'm skeptical and I don't want to ruin it, any ideas?

  1. C'mon, we all know that stoners really don't actually clean anything, but live in the filth of their mother's basement playing video games and eating Cheesy Poofs.  Good try though.

  2. I dont know if this would work on a pipe or not.  to clean burned coffee out of a glass coffee pot you put a little crushed ice and some salt and then swish it arround and it scrubbs the inside of the pot.  Seems like the same process might work for your pipe.

  3. JUST SAY NO

  4. i always put it in a cup of alcohol for a day are two its up to you then wash it with just water and let it dry it will be good a new and you wont taste the alcohol i promise. if it is big then try wiping it with alcohol good luck...

  5. try rubbing alcohol and salt.  Pour it directly into the pipe with lots of salt, shake it really hard and fast, then repeat until clean.  Thats what she said. lol

  6. Boil it. Then once the water evaporates, you've got resin.

  7. Used to purchase a cleaning product called Grunge Off at my local head shop many years ago, it worked great.  Have no idea if it is still available.

  8. don't use boiled water it can crack-weaken the glass, use acetone picked up from any hardward store in the paint section. Just a drop or dip a q-tip in the acetone and clean. Wipes away any residue. This is a fairly well known method.

  9. putting it in boiling water works, but it makes the glass fragile...if you drop it, or set it down harder than normal, it will break.  The easiest and least expensive is to use rubbing alcohol.  Be prepered to get dirty, and it takes a little bit of time, but soak it for half an hour, get out your Q-tips and/or pipe cleaner (no, really...remember those...they actually work!) and just wipe the ...a...stuff out.  Let it soak in water when you are done for about ten minutes, then be prepared to get a hit out of the sucker like you just brought it home.
