I have a go-cart and it is so loud I need ear muffs to use it and I was wondering how to quiet down the motor?

The engine is a 125cc Yamaha dirt bike engine from some time in the 70's or 80's and there is an exhaust pipe but it doesn't do very much at all.

The only way to quiet it down is to add a muffler.

You need a baffle in the exhaust, most dirt bikes had removable ones. Go to a dirt bike shop and get some help.
