I have a goldfish and my smaller one sometimes floats up and looks like he's dead?

my goldfish that floats up has a regular eye and ones bigger but when he floats up for 7 seconds he is still moving is he ok???please help him and me none of my other fish do that!!!and there huge

the swollen eye is called "popeye" and the floating is a sign it has a problem with its swimbladder.

both can be caused by water quality problems, test your water (with a liquid kit, not strips) and make sure you have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and under 20ppm of nitrate. Anything other than that will be the cause of the problems. goldfish are very very messy fish and prone to causing water quality problems as they are often housed in inadequate tanks.
