  1. What? Your question doesn't make sense? Are you trying to say you need to buy something, to stop the bird from picking his fearthers? If so, than you can buy a molting treat, at a pet store.

  2. your question is confusing, it is not worded so that people can understand exactly what you need to know? Even though I do not exactly understand what you mean I am going to give you links to what a healthy Green wing macaw looks like, the only thing you need for your macaw to be in healthy feather condition is good nutrition, clean environment, exercise, regular baths (this is very good for skin and feathers!!!) and for the bird to be generally happy!

  3. If the bird is healthy, I can't imagine what you need to pick out the feathers.  Birds will self-preen the feathers as needed.  Mutual preening between pairs is often done as part of courtship.  Pet birds will present their head to a person to preen,  You can simulate preening by gently scratching the feathers on it head and face.  Some will turn their heads up so you can scratch under the beak.  When the bird molts and new feathers grow, the feathers will have a sheath covering the new feather.  As the sheath breaks down you can gently roll the sheath between your fingers to break it up.  Be very careful because immature feathers can bleed heavily and the bird may be quite sensitive to touch.

You could always contact the person again to get more information about  "picking feathers."
