how do i tell which is which?

and what do i connect to a high input plug? like in a sub/amp

  1. theres several ways to tell the remote wire is going to be very small, get a test light or power probe the ground will be a negative, and the battery wire will be positive, also follow the wies ground wires should be short and will be connected to a bolt or somewhere right on the frame.


  2. ok... im assuming this is previously ran wire. if not RUN YOUR OWN WIRE. in standards : power.red  ground.black  rem.blue if they are same color use a short light. now part 2 .. high level inputs are for speaker level inputs(ie the wires that were hooked into the stock speakers) they are really only useful if a)you have NO rca pre-outs or b)dont have 1 long enough. if you decide to use the HLI my advice is: fit all wires where they need to be spray a little wd40 around and in the plug (light saturation) fill with hot glue wait til dries and BOOM custom fit plug
