  1. when i had dandruff a while back when i was younger i used a shampoo for dandruff(dry scalp/itchy) and after using it for like 6 months to a year! my dandruff hasnt come back!

    try it.

u can get it at wal mart by the brand equate or head and shoulders

    hope i helped =)

  2. I agree with Bri. Head and Shoulders is a dandruff shampoo with the added moisture. Or you can try one of the Dove moisturizing shampoos. That's what I use and it works great. =]

  3. Try selson (sp?) blue, you can find it at Walmart. It works REALLY good! If that doesn't help, I suggest going to the doctor because you could be allergic to certain shampoos which causes a rash on your head.

  4. use head and shoulders shampoo

  5. you have dandruff very likely, that doesn't mean your dirty don't get the wrong impression, its just your head isn't moisturized thats why your scalp itchs try tresemme moisture shampoo and conditioner, make sure you get conditioner, shampoo burns out all your natural oils and cleans your hair and conditioner revitalizes and fixes any issues (ie. moisture) try it for a week and you'll notice the difference instantly

  6. well moisturizing u cann use olive oil or coconut oil. also whats good for ur hair and lice is mayonnaise. put it on ur hair and put a shower cap on overnight. wash it in morning

  7. do not use head and shoulders shampoo, it is really harsh. you are probably not getting all the shampoo rinsed out of your hair. rinse extra well back there after shampooing and try a vinegar rinse. this will remove any shampoo build up.

  8. You can try baby oil. Baby oil is used for cradle cap in babies, and works well. If you have any flakes it'll break them loose and once the flakes are all gone the itching should be gone. If you can't stand the itching and it's driving you crazy, you can take over the counter Benadryl as it's directed.

  9. You can also try a shampoo specifically for "dry scalp" such as T-Gel or something to that effect.

  10. it could be because of your dry or flaky scalp. (not to be confused with dandruff). use dandruff shampoo and conditioner anyway. it could help.

  11. try and get a really good shampoo and conditioner, and make sure it says moisturizing....

i use herbal essences and they have a line that is called hello hydration, and i would highly recommend that...

plus, when you are applying it to your hair, make sure you leave the conditioner on at least 5 min before you rinse and you get it all the way down to the scalp....

also, another conditioner product i would recommend would be garnier fructis hydrating hair masque, it comes in a little green tub with an orange lid... and it is really awesome...

    hope this helps :)

EDIT: well, if you have tried hello hydration and it didn't work for you, you might have to get a professional shampoo conditioner, i like paul mitchell and also make sure that you rinse really well, not saying you dont but, this will cause your hair to be itchy as well if it has too much product left over.

other than that, i don't know what to tell you, you might have a scalp condition, and if nothing is helping, you might have to go see either a dermatologist or a beautician to have them look into it.... hope it gets better :)
