I have a hamster and it found a hole in my house when I wasn't home and it climbed up into the wall and when I left it's food dish at the opening it came during the night and got the food. Is there is any other food that I can use to make it come out ?

  1. u should try carrots and apples that is probably the best thing u can use good luck

  2. put peanut butter and other foods it might like in a bucket with walls to high for it to get out. make a ramp for it to climb up into the bucket, and bait the base, middle and top of the ramp as well to guide it up there. hopefully in a few days you will wake up to the hamster in the bucket. they are nocturnal, so during the day your should look in tight spaces where it would curl up to sleep like under furniture.

  3. Cat food.

  4. Cheese would be a great idea.  Measure the size of the piece so you know if it has eaten it.  You could put it in several rooms.  Also, sunflower seeds.

  5. put the food outside of the hole on the floor, sit there with a net and wait.

  6. When i lost my hamster and i did several times,

    food did not attract it.

Instead i waited in the room and listened very carefully.

  7. Put the hamster's cage near the hole and put the smelly food in the cage.  Things like peanut butter, ice cream, his normal food, etc smell tasty and will lure your hamster out.  Keep the room dark and quiet and wait to see if your little guy will come out.  Unfortunately, you might need to wait until it's night as hamsters are nocturnal and he might be in the wall sleeping during the day.

Hope that helps and good luck with getting your guy out!

  8. CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!!!

hampsters love cheese... put it anywhere, they will smell it, follow it and eat it!! Lol

  9. Very common problem...get a bucket that is too high for the hamster to jump out of. Put smelly food like peanut butter and some of the hamster's food in the bottom of the bucket. Put books or something making a ladder up to the bucket. The hamster will climb into the bucket to get the food and will not be able to get out. If that does not work (but it usually does), WalMart sells a small plastic live trap that will not hurt the hamster.  Put food in it, he will crawl into it, it will close behind him, and he is trapped there for you. Good luck.

  10. The hamster hates you.  Get over it.

  11. peanut butter

  12. if you have a ladder (hamster sized of course) the put it up to a bucket full of food maybe make a trail so it knows where the food is, keep the door shut and put something to block the space under the door (they can get out of it)
