Just a small amount of corrosion on one of the positive terminals from leaving the batteries in too long without playing it. Is there any way to clean it off? It will not work even with new batteries.

  1. Sandpaper is the best way.  Try pushing it in with a popsicle stick or by using an emery board.

If much acid is left behind, you can neutralize it first with a little moist baking soda.

  2. Gently rub fine sandpaper over the terminal. Try not to touch the corrosion with your bare hands -- it can be irritating.
