I have a hddirect tv system, and a dvd player, how do i get the dvd to play on the tv?

Question

i have the dvd connected to the component input on the back

but i cant get the image on the screen.

I cant hook up directly to the tv as the tv is hooked up with a cable

Try changing where the TV gets its input from. Usually you can switch to the "Component In" using the "TV/VCR" button on the TV or the remote. This input select button might also be labeled "TV/DVD" or just "Input". Be sure you wait at least 8-10 seconds after pressing the button while it switches over.

1) in the TV remote there is a source button/ input button / AV button just keep that button pressing each time Until it shows COMPONENT.  

2) Select AUTO by pressing the system button in your TV REMOTE if it is provided.
