i bought a hdmi to dvi cable to connect my asus laptop to my tv but i am not getting sound please help

  1. DVI does not transfer sound. While HDMI will, once you enter DVI into the equation, you lose that function. You need to look the audio outputs on your laptop. Optical or coaxial digital would be best but a standard 3.5 mm headphones jack will work.  


  2. should be in your audio manager,,,,,not sure on your exact configuration...may sound a bit obvious...re cheak your connections
