I have a heated pool and use baquacil i keep having a problem with green algae?

i never had this roblem before i pt the heater on the pool, now i keep having to treat tyhe pool for green algae! what do i need to start doing different to keep this from happening? thanks

  1. there are silver algaecide products that put a thin coat of silver on the pool surface...they work pretty well!

Yep, once you start heating the pool (or it gets warm naturally through the summer) algae becomes a bigger problem.  You've got to keep you Sanitizer & Algistat level at least 35 ppm........and still need to zip that up when the pool starts feeling slippery.  That may be another 4 ounces every week.  If it's getting out of hand, zap it with even more and filter, vacuum, filter and filter.
