I have a hi- point gun will it jama lot. or did i bay a good gun?

Yes, it will jam a lot.  I wouldn't say that you bought a bad gun, that depends on what you plan to do with it.

I own a hi-point carbine and it's great for plinking, and the ammo's fairly cheap(mines a 9mm).  I love it, but I wouldn't want to take it into battle.

Only way to find out for sure is to take your new "toy" to the range with a few boxes of ammo.
