I have a History project about World WAr one and im really stuck because i have to do an index but i have no idea what it is. So if you know about an index in my History Project please help me. Thank you soooo much if you can answer back. thanks

An index is an alphabetical list of primary subjects, names, titles, etc. that helps you locate information within a presentation, whether it be a written piece, or the handout and summary of an orally-presented piece. A periodical index lists articles by subject or author. A book index is a list at the end of a book which gives pages numbers where names and subjects can be found in the book.

    So any significant characters or events should be listed in your index, which would be the last page (separate) of your submission.

    For example, if you discusses these five topics:

    Bismarck, Prime Minister

    Ferdinand, Archduke Franz

    Lusitania, sinking of

    Poison Gas, use of

    Schlieffen Plan, The

    You would list them alphabetically by the most important word in the description.
