I have a holiday booked to Dominican Republic at the end of September?

Will the airline arrange an alternative holiday for the same dates? Do they offer a refund? Do they offer anything? Could I lose my money?

  1. THIS IS WHY AGENTS MAKE SO MUCH MONEY ON INSURANCE AND CAR DEALERS ON WARRANTIES .  THE PROBLEM IS ALMOST ALWAYS WITH THE AIRLINE THAN IT IS THE RESORT , BECAUSE OF AVAILABILITY AND FUEL COSTS . BUT WITH TOM COOK AT CASA MARINA , YOU ALWAYS GET GREAT LOW SEASON PACKAGE DEALS . I KNOW BECAUSE I WORKED AT CASA FOR A WHILE AND COOK WAS MY COMPETITION WHEN I SOLD TIME SHARES .  BUT AS A RULE , EVEN WITH AN  INSURANCE THAT HAS A GOOD CHANGE OR CANCELLATION POLICY , YOU WILL ALWAYS LOOSE SOME MONEY  IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN MAKING A CHANGE .  HOWEVER , THE BIGGEST FACTORS ARE DETERMINED BY FLIGHT AND ROOM AVAILABILITY AND SEASON THAT YOU TRAVEL .

  2. No, No, and Yes

  3. I agree no, no, no and yes.

Are you scared by the huricanes???

So you want to exchange your holidays.

It's true that september is not really good but in dominican republic the infrastructures are good and they know how to deal with the weather so you don't have to worried too much you just have a chance to get a bad weather.

I would try to go if i had a week booked already but i would be carefull and check the forecast and the safety rules...

    Good luck

  4. Actually

    yes, yes and no.

The airline will do something for you.  What exactly?  Depends on the airline but you will not lose your money, don't worry.

I also have a trip booked.  I'm going to Sosua, Dominican Republic on Sept 20th with Air Canada Vacations.

If the weather is too bad to go they will let me choose either a different date, different location for same price or a refund.

    What airline are you using?
