I have a hpa6357c (mac daddy) its saying i need 17 cd-r,2 dvd-r, and 2 dual label dvd-r. to back up my p.c?

why so many discs? is it because the pc is full of new gadets and things? its also vista if that matters? i supposabley i have 30 days to do this or ill have to purchase them. $400. what a rip-off.any ideas? this is not for backup and restore! its for RECOVERY!!!

  1. You DON"T have to do it, but it is a good idea in case your hard drive dies - and hard drives do fail.

    If you see "my Computer" there is a whole partition called "recovery" or something like that. PC manufacturers don't ship OS discs any more, so they recommend you copy that partition in case you s***w up with your PC or it dies.

    2 DVDs is not a big deal and you can do it after the 30 days as well. They allow you to restore your PC to its original state.
