Question:

I have a huge problem with the bully behavior of law enforcement. How do we fight back or show we dislike it?

I literally hate it. It's one thing to bully a hardened criminal, or someone else who's resisting, or putting up a fight etc, but it's another to harrass innocent people, people who are polite back, or who really just don't deserve the attitude.

People in the law enforcement field, anyone from cops, to court clerks, to judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, lawyers, the whole system there, many of them just have a horribly bully-like, condescending, controlling, egotistic, I'm better than you attitude, and if you dare to stand up against that or question it, then they turn against you, and treat you like you're a horrible person.

I've had great experiences with many of them too but, literally,

WHY are so many like that?

I have a HUGE problem with that, and I totally disrepsect it. I won't tolerate it personally, and want to know how we can fight back or show that we don't appreciate this?

I don't and will not, refuse to kiss *** to any cop, judge, or anyone. I act professionally, but I do NOT lower myself or my standards and pride, to them. They're just doing a job. They're no one special, or deserve to be treated as such.

So why do they go on power trips?

It's gross. I make alot more money and have alot more friends, connections and life experience than many of them anyways, so why should I treat or get bullied by them to treat them like God, when they're really just regular humans going on power trips?

Again, this question DOES NOT APPLY to every law-enforcement type, at all.

But more than a few are like that, and I and I'm sure MANY others are disguisted by it.

It would be one thing if cops and judges and prosecutors and the whole 9 would treat people nicely, smile, and just respect the common man, but they act like they have contempt and hatred for everyone.

I understand if many people suck and they get hardened and just expect the worst out of humanity but,

thanks to their behavior towards the regular citizen, I now LOATHE going to courts for anything, loathe getting pulled over if ever by a police officer and generally loathe having to do ANYTHING with that branch.

it's just so disguisting.

If they're like that on purpose to scare the "bad guys" fine, but don't take it out on everyone else.

  1. I agree with your attitude, for I have had it happen to me!

Years ago when I was young, cops were polite to most people and only scummed around the hardened, nasty characters. Now they scum around around everyone as a "potential criminal."  Older people with heart conditions are not exempt!

The best thing you can do is complain to as many sources as possible that you have been mistreated. Talk about it with your local paper, send a letter to the editor, do anything you can to let the media know that a lot of maltreatment from police is going on. Also look for legitimate online resources for support.

  2. If you have a lot of experience with Police and Court Rooms then guess what ?

Your Not the regular citizen you claim to be you dim-wit !!

You cant see how your Long Angry Rant  isn't "talking trash" ?

I suggest you get your money back from that Ivy League collage you went to (sure you did) "snicker"

did you notice that your "question" was so Very Poorly put together and thought out that I was the Only one (okay now there is 2 of us) who wasted my time responding to it ?

if you really had a college education (even community collage) you would be able to see that yours was a question formed by an un-educated person.

BTW - The attitudes of law enforcement mirror the people they represent.

If you really cared about change you might be able to understand that real change starts with the people.

  3. Nice rant.

Do yourself and them a favor. Stop putting yourself in situations where you have a great number of experiences with them and do all concerned a favor. My wife is an admin for a small town police department. Nice, hard working guys with families, who for the most part are polite and respectful even to the morons who I'd rap over the head before I'd bother with; but that's why I'm not a cop. Tough job, indifferent pay, thankless.
