  1. Clue up on the company first. Know everything you can about it and when they ask  you" have you any questions" ask an intelligent question specifically relating to the company i.e. how do you envisage the company in 10 years time and is there an opportunity for promotion. Good luck!

  2. The best thing you can do when interviewing for any job is to be honest about your abilities and skills.  Be yourself don't try to be someone else or any employer will be able to see right through it.  Give honest straight forward answers and trust in your skills.  If nothing else you can't go wrong by being true to yourself, and you will demonstrate a good natural sense of self confidence.

  3. Obviously they're interviewing you on the strength of your CV, so go with that.

You're abilities, and experience, the way you work on initiative, your self confidence, team work, interaction with customer liaison, problem solving, telephone communication, computer literacy, confidentiality issues, P/A and Managerial skills, financial background, appearance, time keeping, and work record, and how even when you're faced with the most obnoxious person in all the world, you can overcome their ignorance, and rudeness, and still be sensitive yet assertive.

Just be yourself, and make notes if you have to by taking a small pad and pencil with you in your handbag just in case you do think of anything you want to ask prior to the interview, such a wages/holidays/etc.

Look the interviewer in the face at all times, smile, dress smart, don't panic, breath slowly, and calmly and remember, at some point in their lives they ALL sat where you're sitting tomorrow.

    Oh !! and good luck

  4. Move the goalpost---ask how the vacancy occur ed

  5. Make sure you dress smart, Not OTT and not under dressed.

Just give loads of eye contact and positive body language, remember these people are human too, be chirpy and chatty, if they ask you a question no YES/ NO answers GO INTO DETAIL.

Make them believe that the company really need you.

    Good Luck

  6. Hi,

Always remember, preparation always pays off. Both the face-to-face and phone interviews are equally important and deal-killer at the same time. There is a general misconception that phone interviews are less formal than face-to-face interviews, but in fact that is what lands you an opportunity for a face to face meeting.

  7.   I wouldn't worry, as you say you have a lot of experience in this position.  I would think that they will be interested in your ability to maintain confidentiality, and in your honesty.
