  1. it's means put what songs you want on your ipod;  automatically means put every songs you have in your itunes library

  2. I think it means that iTunes doesn't automatically file your music by artist/playlist/album etc. I allow iTunes to do mine automatically and it makes it very easy. Especially as you sometimes have to change the names of music files when downloading them (iTunes will then make sure that the name of the file is changed permanently)

    Hope this helps.

  3. Ainselena stoner lovato,

iTunes offers you the two options you have outlined-

    1. "Sync only checked songs"

    2. "Manually manage music"

    What's the difference?

When you choose to sync automatically, iTunes will sort through your library and make an exactly replica of it on your iPod (space permitting), provided that most if not all of your songs have little checkmarks by them.

However, manually mangaing your music requires you to manually delete or add songs onto your iPod. This is ideal if you have A LOT of music on your library and either you don't want it all or it won't fit on your new iPod.

Personally, I manually, manage my music because I like to create custom playlists and control what music/video content makes it to my iPod.

It really breaks down to your preferences and how you use your iPod.

I hope you like your new iPod and I hope this answer helped.
