I have a japanest tea pot and need a pricing quickly how much do you think it is worth?

it iz long standing and has a picture of a woman in a blue gown and a yellow head scalf she is also gt green, and orange in her clothes she iz in front of a gold shape which is in front of a river with a orange sky there is red around the top with green dots and a lid that ha brown and green orange handle brown spout with gold along centre base is orange with gold swirls and a brown bottom the river goes all the way around with the sky ect

  1. If  you think it may be valuable, email an image and description to the oriental departments at the big auction houses (Sothebys, Cristies, Bonhams, Philips) or take it to your local auctioneer,

    PS Why do  you think it is Japanese not Chinese? Tell them that too. It could be Imari ware from the colours, but they will need to see it.


  2. Go on E-Bay and see if you can find one that looks like it,see what they want for it. Good luck:)

I have a whole tea service which my father brought back from Japan in the 1930's (he was in the Navy) - although these pieces are incredibly beautiful (china as thin as tissue paper),  oddments which I've seen in Charity Shops are only priced in pence - a teapot, maybe a couple of pounds.  So, the value is probably sentimental rather than valuable in monetary terms.
