As soon as possible!  You should be open and honest with your boyfriend.  Tell him in person and invite him to meet your kid.  You really should have told him when you started dating.  If your boyfriend does not get along with or like your kid then maybe you should rethink your relationship.

I think it is best to be honest in these situations from the beginning. Since you haven't told him at first, you need to do so asap. Among the many reasons why is trust.
